Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

Non-Stop

Today is my last day in Illinois. I'm getting ready for Crystal Pettit's wedding. Today she becomes Crystal Erickson. Amazing. So much more I could say about that, but I have to get in the shower. It's 9am and I have to be at Judson at 11:30.

I have been running non-stop for weeks on end. I'm wondering when this crazy pace will come to an end. I believe I will be hit with that reality tomorrow at 10ish with a jammed packed car and family ready to leave my driveway for the 37 hour drive to my new home in Tempe. It seems real - leaving and all. But there is just so much happening right now that is just hasn't sunk in completely.

I keep reminding myself that I have peace in Christ. He's showing up in amazing ways. To name them all would take hours that I clearly do not possess. I am praying a lot and going now to be with my friend as she marries her best friend.

Thank you Crystal for being joyful and gracious. May God bless this day for both you and Jeremiah and all who are a part of your lives.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
