Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

Jeep Bag (always prepared)

The Jeep Bag is a hand-me-down from my younger sister. (I'm not sure that is even supposed to happen.) But now that I have it, I feel as though I have a better sized bag for my current need to be prepared for anything. While it isn't actually true, I feel like I am living in my car currently. (See previous post about driving.) This week I've surmised from looking at my schedule (or lack thereof) that I will have to be prepared to do just about anything on moment's notice. By anything I do mean almost literally anything. Here is a run-down of the possible situations I could be in this week: from being my usual nanny-fied self to being dressed up in a suit for an interview with a potential employer to wearing a casual outfit (yet nice enough without knowing where we might go) for drinks with someone I've just met to having a couple outfits for things going on at church to being dressed "just so" for my first drama rehearsal to something comfortable enough to manage all of those activities (and the miles it might mean driving).
So how does one adequately prepare herself for this week of possibilities? It is oh so easy you see, I now have the Jeep Bag!! (It's blue and black.)
