My LP was yesterday. (Spinal tap for those of you unfamiliar with medical terminology.) And for the day after I'm feeling surpsinglingly fantastic. Sure, I'm rather sore but considering the procedure, I'd say that's to be expected. Bending and twisting is seriously challenging. Lifting things that are have any sort of weight and put any kind of strain (even a little, like when I stand up and pick up my laptop) on my back makes me say "Ouch!" (I know, you're thinking, "Why are you even making such attempts then?" Well. No one said I couldn't. And that's why.)
Today I go to get my results from my EEG and CAT scan. Then I'm getting my haircut and Chris Tomlin is coming to Willow tonight so I'm going to try to rest enough so I can make that event. I'd say that makes a pretty good day after.
Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.
My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.
Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

You are a horrible friend...i can't believe that you didn't tell me that Chris Tomlin is going to be at Willowworld (I don't CARE that you KNOW that I am too busy to go...you still should have told me). Good thing that we both love each other sooooo much that this in no way jeopardizes our friendship...it does however, make you a horrible friend for today. ;)
