Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

27 reasons I enjoyed today

1) I slept in 5 extra minutes.
2) There was a a happy e-mail in my inbox this morning.
3) The sun was rising at 5:30. Yay!
4) Seeing my friend's new hair color - the first thing she's done for herself in three months.
5) A hug from a sleepy three-year-old.
6) Alicia brushed her own teeth; which it is important to note, she never does for me.

7) Anthony unbuckled himself and his sister at daycare; also important to note he never does that for me - it's usually the other way around.

8) Found a penny on the ground just inside the daycare door.
9) Had time to paint my nails between "shifts." Clear of course.
10) It was nice out.
11) My boss found the silk plant spray she's been looking for which meant I got to spray plants today and didn't have to dust this week. (!!!!!)
12) I broke a plate at work and was really worried about it only to find out that she's always hated them and was happy to have one less.
13) Zach drank all of his milk at lunch without having to be asked/told to. In keeping with the other children today, not a typical practice for him.
14) I wrote. And only what I wanted to write. Nothing more.
15) Decided not to go anywhere after work. Even though I probably should have.
16) A bath with epsoms salts.

17) Not having to think about dinner; I had leftovers.

18) Getting caught up on bills and paperwork.
19) I drank Jell-O. (You can ask. I may not tell. But I promise it's not a weird as it sounds.)
20) This: A break from this list to go make tea. I am going to drink that too.
21) Good tea.
22) Time for processing.
23) Finding something I thought I lost.
24) A needed phone call with some needed advice/ assurance on the other end.
25) I read Proverbs 16.
26) It rained.

27) Tomorrow is Tuesday.
