The rest of Chicago will remember today as the day the Bears won or lost the Super Bowl...is it XXXXI, I'm honestly not even sure.
I will remember today entirely differently. I'm playing for keeps.
The time has come. I've waited and prayed for today. Revelations are a funny thing and they get so much clearer when you get quiet and learn to listen well.
I had know idea this was happening today and I don't really like the game plan and I wouldn't have chosen today. I'm terrified but I know God's got a plan. I just need to trust in His and not my will.
Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.
My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.
Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

the fifth grade teacher in me feels obligated to remind you that in Roman Numerals no symbol can be repeated more than three times...so forty-one is XLI...:P
Well, if I hadn't slept through 5th grade (or the XLIst) Super Bowl I might have known this. And now I'm probably going to get some grammar guru and mathematician pissed because I've combined two forms of numbering systems.
(The first maybe ignorance...the second I'll call the cost of creativity...)
