Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

Kinda, Sorta, Not So Much

At the optometrist this morning I stumbled across something.
He inquired, "Are you well?"
I said in reply, "Kinda, sorta, not so much."
He said, "Wow, that would be a great title for a book!"

I commented offhandedly that I would have to keep it in mind since I was planning on writing. After I explained everything health-wise, and he questioned if stress had anything to do with it (I really wish they'd all just realize that it does and just stop asking because they stress me out more when they do), I mentioned my move and of course this wonderful man I am dating (I cannot seem to keep my mouth shut about him...oh well!). He examined my eyes, found nothing changed and as I was leaving he reminded me about the title. "You really should write that down," because he said, "it's a pretty good title, and heck, I'd read it. Make sure to give John a couple of hugs. Take care and good luck in grad school. Oh, and have fun!"
