Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

An Assortment of Thinking

Leaving my house is the only way I find peace. It's tough being that I'm here for a while it seems. At least I can leave now. Today I didn't leave. Maybe that's why I've been in a mood. Maybe I was just tired since I didn't find sleep until 4am. Maybe it's cuz I started a new medication today. Whatever is the reason, I've been kinda "blah" all day.

Yesterday was good...great even. Lunch in DeKalb with Laura (sorry, Trisha, I didn't think you'd want another call at school ;-) ). Lunch was followed by shopping. I wanted shoes from Famous Footware, but they didn't have my size. Bummer! Shopping was followed by Caribou and a fantastic conversation.

The drive home was actually to Kari's. We met for dinner - yummy Olive Garden! And there is a Famous Footwear near the mall we were at. So....I got new brown shoes!!! That are super cute and I'm super excited to wear them. (highly unlike me to be so excited over footwear) I'll probably wear them Sunday to church and Axis.

Attending Axis was great. I saw Ryan Mitchell there. It was an odd situation. I thought he looked familiar from across the room but he and Ang live like 3 hours away from Willow, so I didn't think it was him. However, much to my surprise, it was him. After the service, he let me use his phone to call Angie. It was funny cuz she expected him and got me. I can't wait to go meet Annabell. She's already 2 months old. Someday soon, maybe I'll make a trip.

I've decided to get involved in a small group at Axis as well. Well, at Journey actually. I made a new friend who will be in my small group. She's a sweetheart and I'm excited for whatever God has in store for me with this new friendship. I hope all goes well and that I begin to connect again to a place that used to be home.

I just have to figure out how to fill my time between now and then. I'm reading another book...but having a hard time delving into it. I think tomorrow should be interesting. I get to help my mother work...fun with munchkins. I wish I were more excited about it. I'd rather be back with my girls. I miss them tons.

And that my friends is all. My thinking is all thought for now.

Hey Em...I finished this at our fantical interlude!!
