It is a well known fact that men get uncomfortable when women cry around them. What might be a lesser known fact is that it is not the most comfortable situation for the crying party either. Obviously she is upset enough to be crying. Sometimes it is the "fault" of the male in whose presence she is sheding the tears. Others he is nary the cause or the reason for them. But what I was reminded today (and we shall not mention how...) is that when crying in front of a man, he is not the only one who is inclined toward uncomfortableness.
And what's worse is this: the man is most often uncomfortable simply because the woman is crying. (That is of course providing that he is not the cause or the reason for her tears.) The woman, on the other hand, has the issue of the subject of her tears, which has made her uncomfortable enough inside herself to have the need to cry as well as the added bonus of dealing with the uncomfortable situation of crying in front of a man.
Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.
My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.
Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"
