Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

The Wedding Sitter

It's Sunday morning at 9:35am and I'm getting ready for a long day. I stop for a second - which day hasn't been long lately? I crashed last night a few minutes after 9:00pm. Tiredness an odd thing. Ah, but today, no time for it. Today, a day on the go. Today, a day for living and loving. And enjoying children.

What's on the docket? Shower in about five minutes. For about five minutes. Figure out what to wear. What does one wear to babysitt at a wedding? This is a dilemma. I have to be comfortable, but it's a wedding you know. Anyway, this one does not know; new adventures are always fun. I have to figure it out in an hour cuz in an hour from right now (at 10:40am) I depart from this house for an appointment to apply for an apartment. Whooo hoooo! Only hoping all goes well with that.

I will be at the church tonight, babysitting for two kids I've never met, at the wedding of Bethany and Wade, two other people I am only loosely acquainted to. I am excited. Today a new role for me: The Wedding Sitter.
