Back in college, in 2004 when blogging was hardly even a thing yet, I was here. Blogging before blogging meant anything to anyone. You can look in the archives for my past writings, but it was much more like a journal in the past. When we started fundraising, I messed around with the idea of launching something new for this new phase of our journey but actually hated that idea. I am a sum of all of my life and so much of it is here already. So I'm keeping it here. At least for now.

My main focus these days is blogging about our newest journey into the bizarre and wonderful world of gestational surrogacy. Posts dated 2013 and forward will trend heavily toward that journey. I don't promise everything I write will be about though. There might be other things that sneak in occasionally.

Please come along our journey with us. As the saying goes, "The more, the merrier!"

What my friends said....

Trisha is not friends with me becuase my dimples show up when I talk.

She says she is sorry. But I know she is not.

Brian says he likes the way I say "wierd."

I think that strange. Wierd, even.

Anything you'd like to add today?

I am your friend because I feel bad when I am unable to return your calls:-)

I am your friend because I am jealous of your curly hair. Grrr. Do you know how long it takes me to get my toothpick straight hair around some rollers? And then, once I do that, how much hair spray it takes??? And once it is "just so," I leave the apartment and the faintest HINT of humidity takes the whole thing down.

My blood pressure just skyrocketed. ::inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale::

Ok, better now. LOVE YOU!

Em -
So funny because I spent this morning straightening a fellow curly-headed friend's mop and we were pining for the ability to use a curling iron. A liberty I'm afforded only when I spend an hour brawling with a straightener. What I wouldn’t give to be able to run my fingers through my hair on a daily basis!!

Ah, such different perspectives on beauty.
